After purchasing and waiting for arrival, I was concerned that, because of its low price, it might be optically inferior. It appears to be as good as higher priced, brand name filters. The plastic mount is not a problem, since the lens adaptor I purchased is also plastic, and the threads of both lined up without issues that might have arisen from screwing metal into plastic. I think they are perfectly matched.
