The 16 Rod Octagon softbox is an essential light modifier for commercial, fashion, and portrait photographers. This parabolic softbox is designed to produce a beautiful soft round light with a natural vignette. It features a deep parabolic construction creating stunning, wrap-around light. The dual layer inner diffuser helps eliminate hot spots for even lighting and very smooth fall-off. Choose the version of the softbox with the grid for even finer control of the spread of light.

Things i love: grid option,light weight.dual diffucer. Cowboy studio needs to understand that photografers these days move and travel. There is no way this can be assembled and disassembled on location at every session or when you change location. What needs to be done? Sow those rods in place so they do not come out when you remove the Speedring. So all you have to do is open it and hook it. That is what i did and color marked it to know which one goes where. It takes me 15 second to assemble it this way. Also, make those velcros near the speed ring wider and better to overlap. Yes i modified that too, i sowed wider velcros problem solved. offer more mounting options. not just alien been or Bowens. I modified a broncolor sirosl to fit it. yes you heard right im using broncolor. if those little details were to be adressed, this unit would be a five star. IF ANYONE NEED TO SEE HOW I modified it I can be reached at Felipesoto5@yahoo.com and Yes I recommend it.

First off the 60 inch 16 rod parabolic softbox is a great modifier, I bought mine and adapted it using my mounting kit from my a Westcott Zeppelin Profoto flash bracket, with the Westcott mounting arm which lets you zoom and focus the light for more control and fall off. It fits perfectly, Only thing I could say is that after using my Westcott Zeppelin and purchasing this Cowboy Studio Parabolic box this thing is AMAZING. . . should have bought the Cowboy first and settled for this one. Great build quality, Only issue I came accross was the rear velcro near where the ribs meet the speedring could be a little more grip to get a more snug fit. the grid also makes it a no brainer, helps to control the light spill and looks great on a stand. took about ten minutes to open box and set it up on my c stand. Will be on the look out for new cowboy studio modifers.

AMAZING!!!! Period underline No more needed. Seriously this thing is Unreal. I was tossed between this one and another that was 3x's the price. After using it on a commercial shoot this weekend I have to say I will be getting 3 more of these.
