The Cowboy Studio photography background support system and backgrounds is a great addition to any studio. This system is useful both in the studio and on location due to its compact travel size and ease of setup. Making adjustments to the height and width is simple. The black finish is durable and professional.

These high-output daylight balanced compact fluorescent bulbs are ideally suited for digital photography. They also have very low heat so they don't get hot like the more common photo bulb choices.

One of the main questions are customers ask us is “what is the difference between continuous and strobe lighting?” Continuous lighting uses a constant light source to light your subject, meaning that your lights will stay on during the entirety of your photo shoot. Continuous lighting is recommended for beginners. Strobe lighting uses a flash of light at the moment your camera shutter opens to illuminate your subject. Many professionals use this type of lighting because it offers more control of the light.

I had one issue with the backdrop support. One of the wing nuts the crossbar attaches to was stuck on the screw, which looked like it had been beaten with a hammer on the end. My husband had to cut off a portion of the screw so the wing nut could be removed and the crossbar attached. However, once that one was together, the backdrop support went together fine and seems to work well.

Everything was packaged well. The umbrella stands telescope nicely and the bulbs can be pivoted which should allow for easy lighting changes. The bulbs are very bright, especially when shining out from the umbrellas, but I left one on for a while and didn't notice it getting unbearably hot.

Some packaging and assembly instructions would have been nice but it wasn't terribly difficult to figure out without them.

Overall, I'm very happy with my kit and am excited about doing my own studio photography with my family.

After my intial purchase of the 900 Watt Studio Kit, it arrived as promised.  After setting it all up, I did notice that the white Muslin backdrop had a slight defect and one of the 4 light bulbs did not fully illuminate.  

I was able to easily make a claim for those two items through their website with no questions ask.  They promptly shipped the new parts the next day and my new parts arrived yesterday.  

The whole experience was quick, painless, and hassle free.  I would recommmend Cowboy Studios to anyone looking for Studio equipment for both novice and professional photgrapher. Outstanding customer service!
