The FT223B allows you to convert a hot shoe or cold shoe into a 1/4-20 threaded stud. You can use it to mount LED video lights, monitors and other accessories where you have a hot or cold shoe available. There is also a 1/4-20 threaded hole in the base of the FT223B, so you can use it to extend an existing 1/4-20 stud. Note: This adapter does not create any electrical connections.
