The Cowboy Studio Lighting kit is a great addition to any studio. This Kit is one the best of the continuous lighting kits in the market, higher power lighting source of continuous lighting.

These high-output daylight balanced compact fluorescent bulbs are ideally suited for digital photography. They also have very low heat so they don't get hot like the more common photo bulb choices.

Pairing this lighting kit with a tent is an ideal way to do table top photography for larger items. The light tent, which can be used by amateur and professional photographers, makes it easy to take professional digital photos of products and items. It is ideal for online sellers, photography lovers, and collectors. Not only does the material of the tent provide a background for the subject, but it also filters the light from the source, creating a very even, almost shadow-free light across objects inside the tent. This helps to decrease harsh shadows and reflections on shiny objects, such as metal or glass, and gives a clean, crisp backdrop to all items. Its special nylon fabric diffuses the external light, softens shadow, and reduces glare to create the perfect result.

Light tents work well with both film and digital cameras. When using a digital camera, your camera must be set for outdoor shooting. Be sure to adjust lighting as needed.

Each tent comes with a black, white, blue, and red background, as well as a carrying case.

    • Directions
    1. Set up the light box on a table or another flat surface.
    2. Place the item you are photographing in the photo tent toward the back.
    3. Position two lamps on either of the enclosed sides of the photo tent. Turn the lamps on. Point them directly at the box. Move them around until they light the object in a way that is visually pleasing to you. If you want you can add a boom light which is a light that hangs over the top of the box. This light serves to make the object stand out from the background. Don't let the light hang into the box if your photo tent has an open top.
    4. Set up your tripod in front of the box. Attach your camera to the tripod.
    5. Focus the camera on the object in the box. Make sure you can't see the outside of the box in the viewing area.
    6. Take a photograph. If you are using digital, check the photo to see how your lighting arrangement appears. Adjust the lighting as needed.

5 of 5 great product May 12, 2014
Reviewer: Laura from Rhode Island
Very easy to set up and use.  I was very happy to find out that I could use the lights, stands and soft boxes for portrait work as well as product photography. Saved me money that I expected to spend later on a continuous light portrait kit. Great kit for the beginner.

4 of 5 Great Product, No Instructions November 4, 2013
Reviewer: Local Florist from Lakewood, CO United States
We are a flower shop, not professional photographers.  This website and item was recommended to us to use when taking pictures of our floral arrangements for our website.  However, not being photographers and never having used this type of tent before, it would have been very helpful if it would have included instructions on how to set everything up.  Other than that, it does work out very well for us!

5 of 5 Great Value Starter Set September 30, 2013
Reviewer: ECO CEO from Broomfield, Colorado
We run an e-commerce company and we needed a good starter set to shoot product images for our website. The quality on the unit seems to be sufficient for our needs, as the Tent will be stored in our showroom and will not be moved from site to site. The quality of the photographs that we've taken so far are excellent. Would recommend this set up for anyone looking for an affordable Tent set up.
