This CowboyStudio Photo Softbox is a necessary item in any professional portrait studio and would be a great addition to your studio. Softboxes are enclosures around a bulb and create even and diffused light by bouncing light off of a second surface to diffuse the light. The Softbox diffuses a strobe flash, giving you perfect even lighting.

Our Softboxes are made with high quality construction. The speedring fits most strobe heads up to 4 inches in diameter while the two diffuser panels allow you to easily adjust the softness of the light. The speedring ensures this Softbox fits right in at any studio. An advantage of an octagonal box is that the catch light in your subject's eyes will be round instead of square.

I am pleased with this box the light quality is excellent. This is not a box you will want to use on location as taking it apart and setting it up will not be easy and the material is easily damaged if you are not careful. I had to pull out needle and thread to repair a spot or two from just one set up and tear down after I missed threading the rods correctly in one spot.That said I can absolutely recommend this box as a great light shaping tool at a great price. It will be set up in my studio all the time. The soft box ring is metal as are the rods. I set this up to mount a dynalite head which required some fabricating. The metal components made this process much easier.
The ordering and shipping process from Cowboy Studio was excellent. I am a fan!

Easy to locate and purchase my 60 inch octabox, but it seems like it took a little too long to mail it. Even with standard Shipping was quoted a 3-5 day delivery, but it took, 7 Days.

I was e-mailed "order confirmation" & "receipt"
but not tracking information. For tracking, I went to my account and I had to look for the tracking information.

It isn't my intetion to complain, but I wanted everyone to know my experiences.

Other than the shipping issue, it was a smooth transaction.  

The only thing that they didn't list in the description is that the cover isn't elastic, but Velcro. For both the inner diffuser and the outer diffuser. Its a snug fit, but it fits. lol.

This light is perfect for any studio setup! The amount of light that this thing puts out is unbelievable! I love the way the light seems to span across the room. I purchased one of these with a grid as well and they look great in my studio. I am a very satisfied customer!!

Very good quality and exactly what I wanted.Very happy with purchase. The only negative, was there were no instructions shipped with the product nor were there any on line instructions. Very difficult to put together without them. Took me over an hour of experimenting but finally figured it out.
