The CowboyStudio Complete Lighting Kit would be a great addition to your studio. One of the main questions our customers ask us is, "What is the difference between continuous and strobe lighting?” Continuous lighting uses a constant light source to light the object, meaning that your lights will stay on during the entirety of your photo shoot. Continuous lighting is recommended for beginners. Strobe lighting uses a flash of light at the moment your camera shutter opens to illuminate your subject. Many professionals use this type of lighting because it offers more control of the light.

One advantage of using continuous lighting over strobe lighting is that you can see the highlights and shadows on the object either directly or on the camera’s monitor. This allows you to adjust the light to produce the effect you want without having to wait until the picture is developed.

When using continuous light modifiers are often used to help diffuse light suitable for certain types of photographs. Modifiers provide a great variety of effects possible with continuous light sources.

The high-output daylight balanced compact fluorescent bulbs are ideally suited for digital photography. They also have very low heat so they don't get hot like the more common photo bulb choices. The light socket mounts on most standard light stands. You can control each of the light bulbs if you want them on or off.

All items listed were in the kit and in perfect shape. The soft boxes are huge and bright. The backdrops and support system were as sturdy as expected. Both cases are durable and perfectly adequate. Easy set up for the most part. Their were two things I didn't like about the soft boxes 1. Placing the metal supports were difficult 2. Some of the sewing was not as durable as I would like. But for the price I am very PLEASED and I would buy this item again if need be.
