One of the main questions our customers ask us is, “What is the difference between continuous and strobe lighting?” Continuous lighting uses a constant light source to light the object, meaning that your lights will stay on during the entirety of your photo shoot. Continuous lighting is recommended for beginners. Strobe lighting uses a flash of light at the moment your camera shutter opens to illuminate your subject. Many professionals use this type of lighting because it offers more control of the light.

Flashes are used in photography to produces an instantaneous flash of artificial light at a color temperature of about 5500K to help illuminate a scene.

Great starter kit October 20, 2014
Reviewer: Tracy from MO United States
This is great starter kit. Probably best for studio work and not location shooting. Worked well for my first shoot (which was location). Overall a great kit for the money, just a little on the fragile side. Glad I went with higher power heads.

360 Watt Photo Studio MonoLight Strobe Flash Light March 12, 2014
Reviewer: Richard Fierova from Woodsboro, TX United States
The 360 Watt Photo Studio MonoLight Strobe Flash Lighting Softbox Kit I ordered was delivered on time as promised, and met all my expectations. I am a first time user of this type of lighting and was very easy to assemble, and worked the first time with wireless flash on both Canon 3ti and the 70D. After positioning the boxes for best exposure for a shooting, it was smooth sailing,,, Only drawback is the strobe fixtures do not come with a protective cover for storing and traveling to remote locations.   Great Product so far...

Good strobe, not so good manual February 17, 2014
Reviewer: Jeff Singleton from Ypsilanti, MI United States
Strobes work fine. Putting the softboxes together was a chore, no manual for those. Note: the ends of the flexible rods have different sizes. Took  some work to get them together, but I managed. Not sure what "electrodelessly" is, but it's in the manual. For the price, it's a good deal. Not "pro" quality, but good enough for my home studio
