Payment
We accept payment via PayPal, credit card, money orders, and cashier checks. Payment must be made at time of purchase.

For money order and cashier check, please contact us using our online contact form before completing your purchase. Please include the item number and description as well as your shipping address.  We can not figure out what the order is just based on your name and address.

Orders payed outside of PayPal will not be shipped until the payment clears.

Unpaid purchases will not be shipped and will be cancelled after 5 business days.

Shipping Policy
  1. For orders over 3 lb, we offer shipping to all 48 continuous United States via UPS with a tracking number.
  2. For orders less than 3 lb, we offer shipping via USPS with a tracking number.
  3. If you require faster shipping, like overnight or 2nd day air shipping, you can call us with your request.
  4. Please allow up to 1-2 business days after payment is received for your order to be processed before shipping.
  5. We deliver to Alaska, Hawaii, P.O. Boxes, and APO/FPO addresses, or Puerto Rico by USPS service. EXTRA SHIPPING COSTS apply; please email us or call us first.
  6. We use USPS Priority Mail or First Class service to ship international orders. We are NOT liable for any international customs duty fees or brokerage fees.
  7. We are NOT responsible for any shipping delays as a result of the shipping company or customs clearing.
  8. Individual items selling for more than $300 will require a signature upon delivery. All other items are delivered without signature requirement. If you require signature upon delivery, you can call us with your request.

Shipping Time


The map above is a general representation of transit times for UPS Ground shipments to commercial destinations. In limited areas, transit times may differ between shipments to commercial and residential destinations. For specific transit time information from one ZIP/Postal code to another, please go to Get Rates & Transit Times under the Ship tab on ups.com.

We ship using UPS Ground. UPS Ground business days are Monday through Friday (excluding holidays). UPS Home Delivery business days are Tuesday through Saturday (excluding holidays).

Example: A package shipped via UPS Ground on Monday with a transit schedule of 2 business days, (not including the day the package is shipped) would be expected for delivery on Wednesday. A package shipped on Friday with a 2-day transit schedule would be expected for delivery the following Tuesday.

Sales Tax
An 8.25% sales tax is applied to all orders shipped to Texas. Sales tax is calculated only on the extended price (unit price x quantity) total, excluding shipping and other charges.

Warranty
Most of our products have a 1 year warranty from the time of purchase. Exceptions are:
  • 250W model lamps, 150W model lamps, and 45W compact fluorescent bulbs have a 30 day warranty.
  • Flash tubes have a 30 day warranty. Used flash tubes cannot be returned.
  • Opened muslin backdrops cannot be returned.

Exchange/Return Policy
  1. We offer a 7 day return/refund policy. If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may send the item back (at buyer’s expense) for a refund.
  2. Item will be refunded minus a 20% restocking/service fee.
  3. Shipping and handling fee is non refundable.
  4. Return orders must be in the same condition as received WITH ORIGINAL PACKAGING.
  5. If an item received was damaged or defective, please notify us within 7 days of receipt of the item.
  6. Defective items can only be exchanged for the same identical item.
  7. Buyer must return the defective item back to the seller before a replacement item can be shipped out.
  8. Prior to returning any order, buyer must contact seller via email, via return form or via phone call for authorization.
  9. Buyers must pay their return shipping charges. We will not process a return order without this required information.
Light bulbs and flash tubes are not covered by any warranty. If you receive a bulb that is broken, you must notify us within 7 days of receipt, and a replacement will be sent to you. We will not replace any broken or defective bulbs after 7 days.

We do not accept returns and do not refund the following items:
  • opened muslin backdrops
  • used strobe flash lights

Return Procedures
To obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number, please complete our online RMA Request Form.

Merchandise should be carefully packed to prevent any losses or damages in transit.

Merchandise must be sent back in the original packaging and displaying the appropriate RMA number. Please write this number on the outside of the return box. Returned packages not displaying an RMA number or displaying an invalid or expired RMA number will not be accepted. All items should be returned with a tracking number; we are not responsible for lost or damaged packages.

CowboyStudio is not responsible for any merchandise that it does not receive or that is not returned in accordance with the following terms:
  • We are not responsible for any losses in the mail while returning returned merchandise.
  • Merchandise should be properly packed and insured with the carrier for the full amount of purchase.
  • Returned items with signs of abuse or intentional damage will be refused and returned to sender at sender's cost.
